Powering up the Nikon SB900 from Quantum QB1+ and QB1C batteries is now easy. For that Quantum Instruments has recently released two new cables- the MKZ9 and XKZ9.

The MKZ9 is a long coiled cable. To connect into the battery compartment of the SB900, the cable comes with battery module on one end and a special lockable connector on the other end that fits the QB1, QB1+ and QB1COMPACT batteries. Compared to normal batteries, these batteries halve the recycling time and increased capacity by up to five times.

The XKZ9 a short straight cable with battery module on one end and lockable connector on the other end that fit the QB1COMPACT and Bantam Battery. The batteries increase capacity by up to three times. All batteries are rechargeable from the mains and use an LED charge state indicator to display power levels. They save money as well!

Both the cables are now available through Quantum retailers. The MKZ9 is priced at £50.60 including vat and the XKZ9 at £46.00 including vat.
