New Eye-Fi Pro card allows for RAW support, wireless transfer

Eye-Fi’s wireless SDs have been on the market for some time but up until now they have required a wireless router or internet connection to work. Well, the new Eye-Fi Pro 4GB card, pictured above, will now allow for ad hoc connecticity which means you can transfer files from the card to a computer wirelessly.
That’s not all these new cards support however as Eye-Fi says they will add support for RAW files along with JPEG and video files.
These cards are available now for the starting price of $149. I don’t know about you guys but I don’t think I’d spend that much more just for wireless transfer, a USB or FireWire cable is good enough for me.
