New MacBooks Lack Firewire! How Does Your Camcorder Feel About It?
As you might already know, a PC or MAC is your digital camcorder best friend. They are buddies, they keep in touch, work together and share information. But your camcorder might not like the new MacBooks that have been released by Apple this Tuesday. Why not? Because they lack the Firewire port and therefore a future connection between your camera and your Mac might be next to impossible.
On the other hand Steve Jobs is supposedly saying that new camcorders connect to computers via USB 2.0 so there’s no need for Firewire. Above you can see an email exchange between David and Steve. Is it for real or just a prank? It doesn’t matter as the facts still stand out.
What do you think camcorder will do? Will it still be friends with a new Mac?
