It’s not just a symbol of New York any more–now it’s a massive dose of irony to feature the Statue of LIberty prominently in an article like this.  Because today, we’re talking about New York City’s spectacular plan to tackle the terrorism problem in New York.

Wait, what terrorism problem in New York?

Well, after cops broke up the terror plot that just went down over there, featuring some folks planning to drop bombs all over the city, the cops got to figuring and said that they need cameras to keep an eye on the situation and find more terrorists.

The irony of this, of course, is that they didn’t need security cameras to find THIS nest of terrorists, so why do they need cameras to find the next one?  That just plain old doesn’t add up.

Of course, when the word “terrorism” comes up, all logic and good common sense goes whipping out the window and there’s just no sense in even trying any more.  So now, the Statue of Liberty is really rather ironic.
