Hey there, dear readers. Perhaps you’re familiar with the Steadicam Smoothie from Tiffen that we covered last January. It’s a hand-held mount device designed to hold a camera phone firmly in place and keep it steady while you’re taking pictures or recording footage. This camera phone mount is compatible with smartphones such as the iPhone, Motorola Droid and the Flip Mino. So, it’s like a tripod but obviously a lot smaller.

Furthermore, the Steadicam Smoothee is made to be lightweight and easy to use when you’re on the go. It was created with a monoframe metal structure and features a quick-release function for removing a mounted camera after you’re done using it. This device can be used while you’re walking and it can also be set up on a tabletop stand. Currently, it’s not available for sale but it is priced for less than $200.
