Arecont Vision unveiled the industry's first full line of H.264 MP IP cameras at the IFSEC 2008 festival, which opened today in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The array offers four fantastic models with 1.3, 2, 3 and 5 Mega-Pixel of picture strength. Integration of Arecont Vision’s proprietary compression technology enables support for wider video formats to be used in variety of applications.
"Arecont offers the industry's first and only full line of H.264 megapixel video surveillance cameras," said Dr. Vladimir Berezin, President, Arecont Vision. "With up to 25 times higher compression than MJPEG, our new H.264 line of megapixel cameras offers the perfect combination of high resolution and bandwidth efficiency at a very competitive price point."
The powerful cameras also facilitate multi-streaming for the transmission of up to 8 video streams. The video is streamed at different video formats, frame rates and resolutions as per requirement. Developed with world-class FPGA-based image processor the camera delivers high resolution videos at 25 times greater compression than usual MJPEG compression.
Other features include 1920 x 1080 dpi resolution with a 16 x 9 aspect ratio, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and auto-iris control functionality, Ultra Forensic Zooming support and RTSP protocol integration for direct streaming of H.264 video into third-party software players. The Arecont Vision's new H.264 1.3, 2, 3 and 5 megapixel cameras are currently available for evaluation purpose and will hit the stores with single- and dual-sensor camera models within the second quarter of 2008.
