Recently, JVC Professional Products Company won the 2008 prestigious New Product Showcase Award at Security Industry Association’s (SIA) New Product Showcase competition. Its recently launched VN-V686WPU outdoor Pan Tilt Zoom IP-network security camera made JVC won the award for the category IP Devices, Products and Software.

Over 100 new products and technologies were competing against each other to win this award for excellence in security product design. SIA’s New Product Showcase (NPS) competition is known to recognize the most innovative new security solutions in the industry and it continues to do so by awarding JVC’s product in its 29th year.

Featuring a 36x optical zoom lens, the VN-V686WPU is an outdoor IP66 rated vandal-proof IP surveillance camera. Its image stabilizer offers clear visibility and reduces the cost of maintenance and repair. Known as a high-resolution camera, JVC VN-V686WPU comes with ¼ inch CCDs of 380,000 pixels. It also incorporates full motion dual stream JPEG and MPEG4. Moreover, it includes an IR cut-off filter removal function with a built-in fan and heater.
