SanDisk Mobile Card, SSD and New Vaulter PC Accelerator are Named Honorees in CES Design and Engineering Awards
SanDisk Corporation’s three flash based products were honoured during the Consumer Electronics Association sponsored Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Awards. The three products are a high-capacity mobile phone card, new computer acceleration module and a solid-state drive. Independent industrial designers, members of the trade press and engineers constituted the judges panel in order to honor the outstanding design and engineering in consumer electronics products.
Winner in the Wireless Handsets Category was Scan Disk’s micro SHDC 8GB flash storage card which can store 2000digital songs, 4000 high resolution pictures or 15 hours of MPEG 4 video.
Scan Disk’s 64 GB SATA 5000 solid state drive (SSD) was awarded best in the Computer Peripheral’s category. This 2.5 inch, 64GB SATA 5000 is used in the enterprises and by gamers.
Vaulter disk was awarded best in the Enabling Technologies category which launches the operating system and software applications when used with computers hard drive.
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) with 2200 companies as members promotes consumer electronics industry with the awards. The members of CEA are technical training and legislative institutes, market research companies, legislative advocacy etc.
