Here is the newest member of the Nikon’s Chic NIKKOR Array. The new AF-S DX-NIKKOR 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED lens boasts a compact and lightweight body. The innovative lens equips digital photographers with a superior tool ready to explore new lands.

“The development and release of the 10-24mm f/ 3.5-4.5 DX-NIKKOR lens continues Nikon’s tradition of providing expertly engineered tools for photographers to realize their unique creative vision,” said Edward Fasano, General Manager for marketing, SLR Systems Products at Nikon Inc.

The lens offers a 2.4x digital zoom with an angle view between 109 and 61 degrees. Incorporating Nikon’s Silent Wave Motor technology it boosts autofocus operational performance. The lens features two extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and three aspherical lens which deliver stunning true-to life results.

The Nikon AF-S DX-NIKKOR 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED lens will be available at authorized outlets in May 2009 with an estimated price of $899.95.
