The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens is a completely redesigned version of its workhorse professional telezoom. To combat flare and ghost images, the lens supports Nano Crystal Coat and for superior auto focus, a Silent Wave Motor has been included. Further, the lens supports three focus modes built in: M, M/A, A/M.

Compared to its predecessors, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens is shorter but a bit heavier and is incorporated with extensive sealing against dust and moisture. It will be available by November 2009 at an RRP of $2399.95.
