Nikon Coolpix L19 Camera Review–A Good Entry Level Camera

It’s not every day I get to tell you about a good entry level camera.  But if you’re just getting started in the world of digital camera, and you want something simple and low-cost that’s slightly more robust than something you’d get from, say, Fisher-Price, then the Nikon Coolpix L19 is one of the best options you’ve got.  Oh, and it also comes in a variety of colors, but this is actually not a problem, so color buffs, pay attention.

The Nikon Coolpix L19 is an eight megapixel camera with 3.6x optical zoom, a 2.7 inch LCD screen, in-camera red-eye fix, enhanced face-priority AF, Smile Mode, blink warning system, and D-lighting technology.

The only real problem I had with this camera was that I found the controls to be a bit fussy and uncooperative, but that could just be an example of a small learning curve.  For the most part, this camera performed well and ably.  And considering you can get it for under a hundred dollars, depending on where you shop, the Nikon Coolpix L19 is definitely a great starter camera.
