Nikon D5100 officially announced

After months of wait and rumors and leaks, Nikon has officially revealed the D5100, the successor to the popular D5000. The D5100 features a 16.2 megapixel APS-C sensor, a 3-inch swiveling LCD screen, 1080p video recording capability. ISO support ranges from 100 to 6400, with an overboost mode at 25,000.
For the first time, Nikon has a built in HDR mode as well. Another great feature is the “Miniature Effect”, which makes images appear with the tilt shift effect. The D5100 will retail at $800 for body only, or with a 18-55mm VR kit lens for $900.
