Nikon releases geotagging GP-1 add-on

Nikon has recently announced that they have released an add-on that allows for automatic geotagging of photos taken with a certain set of cameras. What cameras you ask? Well owners of a D200, D3, D700, D90, D300, or D3X all make the cut. Just slide it onto the top of your camera’s body, plug in the included wire and you’re good to go.

But what about the light indicator you’re sure to spy on the device. Engadget tells us that it indicates status, and a red blinking light means no satellite connection, a green blinking light means 3 satellite connections, and a green solid light means 4 or more satellite connections. Got that? Ok good, now all you need is $240 and you’ll have completely painless geotagging.
