Nikon Corporation recently introduced its all new range of AF-S super-telephoto NIKKOR lens, the AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8G ED VR. The all new super-telephoto lenses employ a vibration reduction (VR) utility. The lens has got Nikon’s VR II system which reduces image blur which is generally caused by camera shake. It also comes with a recently added Tripod mode which diminishes vibration which occurs while a shutter release during shooting with a super-telephoto lens attached to a tripod.

Additionally Nikon’s VR function provides the photographers the choice of a natural viewfinder image even at time of VR operation. The lenses have got new optical design which features three ED glass elements that helps in lessen chromatic aberration, and thus produces high-quality images. Furthermore, Nikon’s elite Silent Wave Motor offers speedy auto focus with greater correctness and ultra-silent operation. Its switches and buttons facilitate trouble-free contact and contented operation even at time of handheld shooting. Nikon’s new A/M focus mode permit immediate change from auto focus to manual focus, even while AF servo operation, and provides a key enhancement over conventional systems. About the pricing and the availability of the product there is no word from Nikon till now. So, those who plan to buy one needs to wait some more time.
