Nikon L12 Digital Camera Review
The Nikon Coolpix L12 Digital Camera has been reviewed by Digital Review and they give it brownie points for its feature set, its compact size and intuitive controls. What they didn’t like was its lack of viewfinder and the camera at times was sluggish!
The Nikon L12 has a 7.1 effective megapixels resolution and offers the function of VR image stabilization to enable the novices in taking sharp and steady shots even during unstable conditions. It comes with a PictureProject Software that can be installed via CD-ROM only and in a system running on Macintosh OS (Mac® OS X version 10.3.9, 10.4.x); Windows (Windows® Vista(32bit), Windows® XP Home Edition/Professional, Windows® 2000 Professional pre-installed models).
In the end they write “The L12 is a bit slow, there’s no optical viewfinder, and it doesn't allow much user input, but it is the cheapest digicam currently available featuring full time VR (Vibration Reduction) optical image stabilization. VR optical image stabilization automatically compensates for camera shake, allowing even beginners to capture sharply focused images. The L12 is very easy to use, fairly compact, tough enough to stand up to the demands of modern life, powered by cheap universally available AA batteries, and capable of delivering surprisingly good images.”
