Nikon’s New Entry Level Camera To Be Named D3100



d3100 Details of Nikon’s latest entry level model go leak before show. Although known to be a rumor, it is pretty much confirmed that the camera will be called the D3100. Nikon is expected to announce it at Photokina.

A few months back word got out that Nikon will be releasing a new entry level DSLR this year, something between the D3000 and D5000. Before that it was rumored that it will be called the D4000, which seems to be false.

As per the latest rumor, the new model is confirmed to be called the D3100 and will support interesting features such as-

· HD Video (1080p and 720p)

· Constant autofocus in video mode

· A latest autofocus configuration meant to cover the majority of viewfinder

· In-camera video editing

· Expected to come complete with an 18-55mm lens as a kit

The cost and the official date of release are yet to be known. However, an official announcement is assumed very soon, possibly within the next few weeks.
