Nikon’s P7000 Is Gearing Up To Best The Canon G11
Previously launched a few years ago, Nikon’s P6000 failed to impress in comparison to Canon’s G9 in terms of high quality, compact digital cameras. Now Nikon aims to outperform the more recent Canon G11 with a new DSLR called the P7000. According to Engadget, this upcoming follow-up to the P6000 is said to be featuring a larger 1/1.7-inch sensor with a lower, 10 mega-pixel resolution, which is also found in the Canon G11 camera.
Furthermore, the Nikon P7000 will be offering a few things that the G11 doesn’t, which includes a 28 – 200mm zoom lens with an f/2.8 – 5.6 range instead of the G11′s 28 – 140mm, f/2.8 – 4.5 lens. However, Nikon has given no official confirmation concerning the P7000′s specifications at this time. But we expect to hear more about its actual features, including price and availability in the near future.
