Eye-Fi extends support to Leopard and Safari
Eye-Fi Corporation gave a pleasant gift to the Mac users by enhancing support Leopard and Safari. Now Mac users can easily upload photos to iPhoto. The Eye-Fi Card enables users transfer photos to their Mac or favorite sharing site wirelessly from the Digital camera. Eye-Fi users can now upload pictures to any one of 19 leading online photo sharing, printing, social networking or blogging sites apart from iPhoto.
With iPhoto, Apple has made saving and managing photos a cornerstone of the Mac experience, so adding new Mac capabilities is an important step for Eye-Fi," said Ben Bajarin, analyst for Creative Strategies. "This new automatic import feature for iPhoto will save users time and hassle and deliver the seamless experience that Apple customers demand."
The Web-based Eye-Fi Manager will now be easily accessible from the Safari 3 browser allowing easy management of card settings and upload preferences. This Upgrade offers full compatibility with the new Leopard Mac OS X (10.5). This upgrade is available for free download to existing Eye-Fi users and will be included in the new cards
The 2GB Eye-Fi wireless SD memory card which won the Yahoo! Tech "Last Gadget Standing" competition at the Consumer Electronics Show is currently available for $99.99 USD.
