Always in pursuit of innovation and excellence Sony has launched its first Memory stick PRO-HG media card. The Memory Stick PRO-HG is an extended format of the Memory Stick PRO and it offers high performances to meet up to the expectation of its users using digital entertainment equipment. This Memory Stick will be available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB capacities. Sony boasts that this memory stick would offer 30MB/sec Read/Write speed (240Mbit/sec) when combined with an Express Card adapter. The new memory stick would allow a large amount of data to be quickly transferred. Other than this it would also support real-time recording of high-resolution video and still images. The Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo is ideal for Digital SLR, high-end digital camera, or digital video camera users who need to handle large capacity data, according to the company. Memory Stick PRO-HG duo will begin shipping by the month of August.
