Olympus FE 4000 Camera Review–Small and Familiar
The Olympus FE 4000 is an interesting sort of camera that behaves pretty similarly to several others in the line, and is largely differentiated by pricing and available features.
The Olympus FE 4000 is a twelve megapixel camera with a 4x optical zoom, an array of “magic filters” to alter your pictures after taking them, the Intelligent Auto system, which seems to be a kind of artificial intelligence that adjusts the settings on your camera according to certain parameters like light level and motion level, red-eye fix, lighting fix, resizing and cropping tools, and a 2.7 inch LCD screen.
It’s a fairly small camera, light enough to travel but not so light you’re worried about breaking it, and does the job asked of it in a efficient and capable fashion. There’s no reason to believe that the Olympus FE 4000 would ever let you down, but don’t look for it to do really amazing things, either. For general shooting, and for a hundred and fifty dollars, this is probably all the camera you’ll ever need.
