Olympus official announces E-P1



Olympus has finally come forth and officially announced the much anticipated E-P1, the company’s first Micro Four Thirds camera.

While some almost accurate details were leaked, Olympus’ spec sheet shows some different information; the camera will have a 12.3MP sensor, feature the ability to record HD video at 720p, a ISO range of 100-6400, a 3″ LCD and an SD card slot.

Additionally, the E-P1 will go for $749 for just the body, $799 for the body with a 14-42mm lens or $899 for the body with a 17mm lens and external view finder. Olympus has also let us know that the camera will be made available sometime in July of this year.
