Olympus SP310 Review
Imaging Resource did a review on the Olympus SP-310 Digital Camera recently and was very impressed by its full range of exposure modes, skin tones , the Macro Mode , intuitive interface and excellent print quality . However at times the images did suffer from too much of contrast and warm colors in the auto white balance mode. Internal memory was also found to be too less and one found high distortion and chromatic aberration at full wide angle.
The Olympus SP-310 features a 7.1-megapixel CCD with a 2.5-inch LCD monitor and a 3x, 8-24mm zoom lens (equivalent to a 38-114mm lens on a 35mm camera). The camera includes a contrast-detection auto focus system and the Super Macro Mode that gets as close as 0.8 inches (2.0 centimeters). The SP-310 features Auto, Program AE, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual main exposure modes and shutter speeds ranges from 1/2,000 to 15 seconds, with a maximum eight-minute bulb option available.
