Olympus two new tough cameras

Olympus announced two very tough models of cameras. How tough are they? They are so tough that they have “tough” in their name. Seriously.

The Stylus Tough 8010 can survive a drop of 6.6 feet, and can waterproof up to 33 feet. It has 2GB of internal memory with 1.6 GB for shooting. The Stylus Tough-6020 is shockproof up to 5 feet and waterproof to depths of up to 16 feet.

Both can withstand temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. They have 14-megapixels, 2.7 inch LCDs, an internal 5x f3.9-5.9 28-140mm equivalent lens, sensor-shift image stabilization, 720p movie capture, HDMI outputs, built-in LED lamps, face detection, face recognition, USB charging, SD/SDHC car capability, and art filters.

The Stylus Tough-8010 (above right) costs $399.99, and the Stylus Tough-6020 will cost $299.99. Both will be available later sometime this month.
