Olympus FE-115 Camera Review
Steve Digicam’s did a review of the Olympus FE-115 recently and give it a thumbs up for its consumer friendly price, its comfortable grip, its user friendly controls and its ability produce decent contrast and exposure. However the website was disappointed with the over all image quality and its inability capture movies with sound.
The Olympus FE-115 is strictly a point and shoot camera which may only appeal to one for its price tag. It offers a resolution of 5.1-megapixels and is perfect for the casual or the entry level photographer. The digicam includes a 2.8x optical zoom lens which is equal to 35mm-equivalent range of about 38 - 106mm. The body is made of plastic and there is an 1.5-inch color LCD display too. The digicam includes Olympus TruePic Turbo image processor and sports the “One Touch” design.
In the end the website writes “Bottom line - you'll be happy with the Olympus FE-115's SHQ images, but frustrated by its slow shooting performance and poor low light AF performance. If most of your shooting is outdoors, the FE-115's street price of less than $150 makes it a fairly good value, especially for children whose needs may demand nothing more than a fully automatic point-n-shoot. Please have a look at our Sample Photos to see what this inexpensive digicam is capable of”.
