Optoma Pico Pocket Projector
The Optoma Pico Pocket Projector is a really cool little camera accessory. Not much bigger than a pack of cards, the Optoma Pico uses an LED light source of only 9 lumens (compared to between 1,000 and 2,000 lumens for a conventional projector) to throw an image as large as 60-inches in size from as far as 102-inches away. The clarity of the images, even at the maximum size, is astonishing, though you’ll want a white or reflective screen or wall, and you’ll get best results in a darkened room.
Only two controls are necessary on the Pico: an on/off switch, and a focus control. To get the images from your camera to the projector you use a simple AV cable. You can also view videos taken on your iPhone with the Optoma Pico the same way, although, oddly, iPhone photos can’t be projected with the device. The Optoma Pico Pocket Projector retails for right around $460.
