Avago Technologies presented the Industry's Thinnest Autofocus LED to be used in compact, ultra-slim digital cameras. Avago Orange ASMT-FJ30 Flash LED boasts a footprint small enough to fit on a pencil eraser. The thinnest LED of the industry will help designers to further reduce the size and thickness of cameras and such devices.

The device integrates an untinted, non-diffused lens which delivers 18-degree radiation to assist autofocus in low-light environment. The miniature surface mount dome LED lamp follows a smooth , consistent narrow radiation pattern to offer high intensity light output and clear, non-diffused epoxy. The RoHS compliant LED fulfils IEC/EN 60825-1 Eye Safety Class 1 requirement and is compatible with 2x solder reflow process.

Supplied in 16 mm tape on 380mm (15-inch) diameter, Avago ASMT-FJ30 SMT LEDs are priced at $0.55 in 10,000-piece quantities.
