AXIS 212 PTZ-V Network Camera

Axis%20212%20PTZ.jpgAxis Communications today introduced their newest AXIS 212 PTZ-V Network Camera. A successor of the revolutionary AXIS 212 PTZ camera, it offers the same pan/tilt/zoom functionality and automatic patrolling. Camera’s strong metal base guards against vandalism making it perfect for surveillance in indoors of schools, banks, stores and other public places where whole area is under observation.

“Combining a vandal-resistant casing and a unique set of features, the AXIS 212 PTZ-V more than fulfills the market’s need for a reliable, cost-efficient, and tamper-resistant video surveillance solution,” said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications. “The AXIS 212 PTZ-V provides an overview of the whole monitored area, while conventional PTZ cameras only enable users to pan, tilt, and zoom in a limited area.”

The AXIS 212 PTZ-V includes a 3-megapixel sensor, a wide-angle lens for high resolution videos. Its Power over Ethernet (POE) capability enhances efficiency and reduces cost by employing the Ethernet cable for transfer of data and power supply. The network camera also supports IPv6 and offers multiple user access, HTTPS encryption, IEEE 802.1X and IP address filtering for security.

The AXIS 212 PTZ-V can be purchased from Axis distribution channels for an MSRP of $699.
