L-1 Identity Solutions officially announced the availability of Touch Print(TM) Enhanced Definition 4800 Live Scan. The high-tech device captures complete ten print and palm images including fingerprint rolls, slaps, thumbs, palms and writers' edges. It has FBI Appendix F certification to be the smallest, lightweight device for performing such scans. TouchPrint ED 4800 integrates L-1's proprietary Moisture Discriminating Optics(TM) to bypass the effects of moisture blobs from sweaty prints for fine high-quality output. The flexible device resists damage from dust, debris and water through an IP65 ingress protection rated enclosure.
