Objet Geometries Ltd. has recently launched multi-material 3-D Printer Connex500 which can print parts and assemblies made up of multiple model materials. Connex 500 can make Digital material on the fly so Composite material with preset combination of mechanical properties can be made.

Providing smooth surface finish and taking care of fine details in all dimensions, Connex500 can print 600 X 900 dpi in both x and y axis. It provides accuracy and repeatability with a tolerance of 0.3mm over large models.

The company is offering three modes – DM, HQ and HS. The Printers produce prototypes of products which use over-molding. DM mode used for Digital materials and multiple model material printing operates at 12mm per hour in 30 micron layers. With the help of Connex 500, user can select material and printing speed and resolution and it can easily switch between different modes. The HQ mode operates in 12mm per hour in 16 micron while HS mode builds parts at 20mm per hour in 30 micron layers.
