Polaroid Instant Films Will Go Out of Production

There was a time when instant photos meant Polaroid. Not anymore. With the increasing popularity of digital devices, Polaroid has lost its clout with the photograph-loving public. From 21,000 employees in 1978, Polaroid is now down to 150. Previously, Polaroid believe that their audience would stick to them despite the digital camera boom. When the declared bankruptcy in 2001, it was obvious their audience didn't. Polaroid is now aiming to develop new products to compete with the digital age, although they are searching for a partner who'll acquire licensing rights to the film; for old time's sake.
