Sanyo CCA-BC200 Automotive Rear-View Backup Camera System with Cyclone II FPGAs and Nios(R) II Processor
Altera Corporation, recently announced that the company will use the latest Nios(R) II and Cyclone(R) II FPGAs Embedded Processor in Automotive Rear-View Backup Camera System CCA-BC200 developed by Sanyo. The Cyclone II FPGA consists of Nios II embedded processor which results in low distortion.
The Rear View Backup Camera CCA-BC200 corrects the images digitally. It can be connected to car's video monitor system. The company will exhibit the Camera at CES, 2008. Based on technologies that protect the drivers while backing up, the camera delivers enhanced images.
Altera's Cyclone II FPGA and Nios II embedded processor have an edge over DSP Processor as they deliver scaling, encoding and control functions for high performance image processing. Advanced algorithms are implemented for filtering, blending, smoothing and Image transforming. The Camera provides the user with image prevention and fish eye correction delivering accurate images.
