Panasonic DMC-GF1 Gets Out-Fitted With The INON X-2 Waterproofing Case
Interestingly enough, the Panasonic DMC-GF1 has been out-fitted with a new accessory that provides high performance protection against water damage. This accessory is an aluminum alloy case known as the INON X-2. It features two optional M1 grips with underwater lights and even a special diving rig. Furthermore, the waterproof case comes in black and white color options and is designed to withstand at least 75 meters beneath the surface of the deep.
However, the INON X-2 will be quite a large investment for keeping the Panasonic GF1 functional underwater. The case itself costs 186,900 yen ($2,200) and the grips are priced at 10,000 yen ($115). Meanwhile, the camera is valued at $650, in case you were wondering. Nonetheless, this investment might be worth making if you’re serious about your underwater photography.
