Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100: An Excellent Megazoom Camera
Recently, Engadget covered PhotographyBLOG’s review of one of Panasonic’s latest megazoom cameras, the Lumix DMC-FX100 finding it to be another fine addition to the company’s product line of zoom lens machines. Previously unveiled a few weeks ago, PhotographyBLOG managed to get their hands on this Panasonic camera and walked away with positive impressions of their first-hand account. So, the digital image features a 24x optical zoom, 11fps burst mode, 1080p movie recording and a 14 megapixel sensor.
Overall, they found the FX100′s tendency to generate excessive noise once you exceed the ISO 400 mark to be the camera’s only major downback. Other than that, the blog commented on their surprise that the previously released FZ38 model would get a good follow-up and the FX100′s $499.95 price tag might be a tad high for retail. According to Engadget, Panasonic has certainly established themselves as a brand name to be reckoned with in terms of megazoom cameras.
