Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 Camera Review–Powerful Package

Okay, this one will blow your mind.  Seriously–I found this sucker and was downright amazed.  And you’ll see why when I talk about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1, a fantastic package at a shockingly good price.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 is a ten megapixel camera with a 12x optical zoom and a 4x advanced digital zoom backing it up.  You also get a 2.7″ LCD monitor, face detection, a variety of scene and shooting modes, eleven point multifocus, several white balance controls, auto flash, forty meg of onboard memory with support for Secure Digital and MultiMediaCard memory cards, a USB port and included editing software.

Now, you can see there’s plenty of great features here.  Sure, the resolution is a bit on the low side, which affects picture quality somewhat.  But the controls are pretty easy to operate and the picture quality is far from terrible.  But the best part of this whole package is the price tag.

Best Buy is actually offering a refurbished one of these for a hundred and sixty bucks. So you’ll be getting a solid camera–hardly top of the line, but still solid overall–for the price of the lowest bargain priced cameras around.

The end result here is that the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 is definitely a camera to take a look at if you’re looking to keep your budget in line and still get a new camera.
