Panasonic recently unveiled a new compact and lightweight interchangeable lens for LUMIX G Micro System, the LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. lens. Capable of offering 14 to 42mm zoom range, the lens is ideal for a wide variety of scenes.

The lens comes incorporated with Panasonic MEGA O.I.S that allows photographers to shoot clear images even in low light situation. Besides, the lens will let you maximize the function of AF system when mounted on the latest LUMIX DMC-G10 and LUMIX DMC-G2 digital camera. The 30cm focus distance of the lens offers magnification of 35mm.

To provide smoothness in out-of-focus areas, the lens comes with seven aperture blades. The lens system utilizes multi-coated lens elements that helps deliver superior performance and reduce blur. It also features excellent contrast and an aspherical lens that minimizes distortion and improves optical performance.

The lens will be available as a part of the kit lens of the LUMIX DMC-G10 and LUMIX DMC-G2, the latest additions to the LUMIX G Series of digital cameras.
