Panasonic Releases SDR-H80 and SDR-90 Camcorder Models

Panasonic has unveiled its own line of camcorders operating on hard disks, the SDR-H80 and SDR-90.
Boasting of the 70X zoom and optical image stabilization features, the new line of Panasonic camcorders also include the unique Gyrosensors feature, which help address the problem of people with shaky hands while using the camcorder/s.
The two models were introduced along with the SD card model, the S26.
“Before today, traditional camcorder lenses could zoom up to 50x, but with the extra 20x our new camcorders provide, Panasonic is the first to offer such a powerful solution,” said Dennis Eppel, Vice President, Network Business Group, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. “Panasonic understands that consumers sometimes need that extra zoom to truly capture dynamic colors, expressions and motions when the subject is far away, such as during an on-stage school play or sporting event.”
The new camcorders should be available in April, 2009 for a price of $449.95, $499.95 and $329.95 for the SDR-H80, SDR-90 and the SDR-S26 respectively.
