While they aren’t busy announcing the world’s first consumer 3D camera, the HDC-SDT750, Panasonic is busy announcing the perfectly capable HDC-SDX1 full 1080p HD camcorder.

The biggest selling point that Panasonic touts of this camcorder is the fact that ti is the world’s lightest 1080p HD camcorder available with a recorded weight of under half a pound – pretty incredible

In addition to being able to record full 1080p HD video, the Panasonic HDC-SDX1 camcorder features a 2.7-inch touchscreen display and the ability to record Dolby Digital Audio.

Panasonic has assured us that their HDC-SDX1 will appear in September of this year for around $499.95.
