Panasonic recently introduced a new portable DVD writer, the VW-BN2, designed to connect directly to your AVCHD camcorders/cameras, through USB port. Using the VW-BN2 DVD burner, you can now capture as well as save your life’s experience to a DVD without the need of a PC.

The VW-BN2 portable DVD burner is able to burn DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM at up to 6X. When it is connected to a PC, DVD+R/+R DL/+RW and CD-R/RW are supported at up to 8X. The VW-BN2 supports buffer memory of 2MB.

Moreover, the Panasonic VW-BN2 is also capable of DVD/CD playback and also supports output to HDTV/TV via a camcorder. This portable DVD burner is scheduled to be available on 25 December 2009.
