Panasonic DMC-LS75

l75.jpgThe Panasonic DMC-LS75 is a compact and stylish 7.2-megapixel shooter which has a lot to offer without burning a hole in the users pocket. The Lumix DMC-LS75 runs on two AA batteries and also Panasonic Oxyride AA batteries which take up to 60 percent more shots than ordinary Panasonic alkaline batteries.

The Panasonic DMC-LS75 sports a a large, bright 2.5” LCD and has a High Angle LCD function which lets you view the LCD from low angle. It records standard VGA (640 x 480) motion images at 30 frames per second and records wide-aspect VGA (848 x 480) motion images at the same speed. The digicam also boasts of a Lumix DC Vario lens, with 3x optical zoom.

For further functionality the digicam has some great features which further enhances the whole photography experience. These include; Extra Optical Zoom function in 3-megapixel resolution mode where users can also extend the lens magnification to 4.1x. Another cool feature is the Easy Zoom feature which shifts the lens instantly to full 3x zoom power at a single touch of a button, with a second touch. One can also capture spontaneous shots thanks to a 1.8 second start up time and a 0.005 second shutter release time lag (the time between pressing the button on the camera and the photo being taken).

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS75 also boasts of the Panasonic LSI Venus Engine III which is known to record at a sensitivity setting as high as ISO 1250 with full resolution. One also comes across the Panasonic MEGA O.I.S. technology, an Intelligent Image Stabilization system which compensates for both hand-shake and image blur.

There are about 18 Scene Modes including Pet and Sunset modes. The digicam has an internal memory of 27MB and also accepts large-capacity SDHC memory cards. The Panasonic DMC-LS75 will become available from March and will retail for $149.
