Peepo GPS Device Going to the Dogs

Dogs are normally used by the visually impaired to guide them wherever they may be going. And while we have been used to seeing people making use of the standard collar and stick method, here is one concept that may yet be effective.
It makes use of GPS technology and is attached to the dog’s handle. Instead of providing navigational feedback via an LCD display, the Peepo can steer someone who’s visually impaired via subtle vibrations felt in their fingertips. It makes use of voice recognition as well to help in confirming the destination of the person while the navigation directions are wirelessly communicated to the vibrating unit on the guide dog’s harness.
It does sound promising but for now, it remains a concept.
