Pentacon has launched two new digital camcorders, the Praktica DVC 5.1 HD and the Praktica DVC 5.2 FHD. Both offer photo function so either one of the two model might be just the thing you were looking for if you like to make home videos every once in a while.

The Praktica DVC 5.1 HD will get you a 5.0 megapixel CMOS sensor, a 3 inch LCD display, 5x optical zoom, SDHC support and recording 30fps at 1280×720 pixels. The Praktica DVC 5.2 FHD has the same image sensor and LCD display. There’s a different 5x optical zoom lens and video recording is done at 30 fps in multiple resolutions: 1440×1080, 1280×720 , 848×450

We’ll have to wait just a little longer for pricing and availability dates.
