Pentax Announces Optio W80 Waterproof Point-and-Shoot Camera

This pretty red baby camera looks quite impressive and I am told it’s definitely a point-and-shoot camera worthy of your attention. The name of it? Optio W80! The maker? Pentax! Need I say more? Of course I do!
The Optio W80 will let you take pictures under water as long as you’re not going below 16 feet deep and it will also survive in extreme cold or dusty conditions. As long as you don’t drop it from more than a meter it will also survive accidental drops. The camera comes with a 12.1-megapixel sensor, a 5x internal optical zoom, a wide-angle 28mm lens, a 2.5-inch LCD, 720p video recording, shake reduction and face detection features and a SuperProtect coating needed for that waterproof ability.
The W80 will be available next month for $299.95 so better start saving. You’ll have to choose between Cardinal Red, Azure Blue and Gunmetal Gray in terms of colors. What will it be?
