PENTAX Imaging rolled out their new smc Pentax DA 180-250mm F3.5-6.3ED AL [IF] interchangeable zoom lens exclusively designed for DLSR cameras. The powerful lens features 14x zoom ratio and covers the range from 27.5mm wide angle to 383mm in super-telephoto 35mm format. It incorporates two -low dispersion (ED) elements and two aspherical (AL) elements to minimize adverse effects of various aberrations and ensures excellent image quality. The lens has been optimized for use with DLSR cameras and is perfectly proportioned to their image sensor size (23.5mm x 15.7mm). The lens is 75mm (maximum diameter) x 85.5mm (length) in dimesions and weighs a mere 16.0 oz (455g) without lens hood
