Pentax Optio S7 Camera Review
Cameras.Co.UK have reviewed the newly launched Pentax Optio S7 and they like the digicam for its user-friendly interface and its compact form factor. However they were failed to be impressed by the image quality and notice shutter lag.
The Pentax S7 is a 7 megapixel digital camera with some advanced features like ISO 1600 and a Blur Reduction High ISO mode. The latter comes in handy for compensating for camera shake and blurry images taken in low light conditions like night time or indoors. This is done automatically by adjusting shutter speeds (up to 1600) in accordance to the brightness of the subject. Another feature which users will dig is the Face Recognition AF & AE which can be used during portrait shots as it automatically detects the position of the subject’s face and then adjusts the focus and exposure.
In the end the review writes “The Pentax Optio S7 is a bit of a mixed bag. Whilst it gives you the chance to pick up a pocket sized, seven megapixel digital camera at a relatively low price there are issues outlined in this review that give me cause for concern.”
