Pentax has released an entry level digital camera called the Optio RZ10, which sports a 14 MP sensor and 10X optical zoom. The camera retails for just $270, which is not a bad price, but of course, it all depends in the image quality.

Pentax also introduced a $150 low budget camera aimed for kids and teens. Called Optio RS1000, the camera sports the same 14MP sensor as the RZ10, but it has swappable front skins as well. Some of the more advanced features and options are lacking of course, at least compared to the $100 extra RZ10. We’ll have to wait to get our hands on both cameras to see if they’re worth their price tags.
