The 12 Mega-Pixel Camera is equipped with 1/1.7 inch CCD image sensor increasing the receiving area to produce excellent images with brilliant colors. A40 includes three types of anti-shake functions; Mechanical Shake Reduction which corrects camera shake when photographing still images by shifting the image sensor (CCD) horizontally and vertically with the help of high-accuracy gyro sensor. The second type is the Digital Shake Reduction which automatically adjusts sensitivity to reduce camera shake according to the brightness of the subject. The third type is Movie Shake Reduction which electronically minimizes camera shake with the help of software.
