Pentax, the World-wide chief of the digital imaging market integrated powerful technology in the small, compact outlook of the feature-rich camera for perfection. Available in black and silver shades, the 12 Mega-pixels camera combines 1/1.7-inch CCD with 3X Optical Zoom smc PENATX lens for impressive, stunning shots.

The Optio S12 boasts a 2.5 inch Wide-angle LCD display with 232,000 dots resolution and 170 degrees rotation. The supreme Face Recognition capability enables identification of up to 15 faces in a frame. Other features include Dynamic Range Adjustment function, Digital Shake Reduction mode, High ISO Sensitivity 3200, Movie recording at 30fps with 640x480 pixels resolution, 21MB of Built-in Memory and support for DivX®(MPEG-4) format.

The PENTAX Optio S12 is expected to hit the markets by April 2008 for the suggested price of US $279.95.
