Pentax’s K-r DSLR Camera Gets Reviewed

Today, Engadget decided to comment on Photography Blog’s recent review of Pentax’s latest entry-level DSLR, the K-r. In terms of other Pentax models, the K-r fits somewhere between the K-x and K-7 and does it quite well, according to Photography Blog. So, the reviewers loved the compact design, which they said is helpful to novice photographers as a conveniently-sized camera and the image quality was also “excellent”.

However, low light performance failed to impress at ISO levels north of 800, though and that’s likely to be disappointing to some people. Nonetheless, the broad range of manual controls was well-received but the HD video mode is another potential drawback since it’s the same one found in the K-x, leaving you with an unsatisfying UI. You can follow the source link below to the original article and hit their source link for the K-r’s full story. But all in all, the Pentax camera came through and scored a Highly Recommended rating.
