Philadelphia Zoo Polar Bear Says: Sup?
Look at that cool polar bear. She is one cool individual, make no mistake about it.
You’re looking at a picture of Coldilocks taken by photographer Michael S. Confer, who waited literally months to wait for the perfect shot of the Philly polar bear.
He was just about to give up and go home when his wife and daughter, who were with him on this particular run, called him back to the tank. There, swimming around in the water before the enclosure’s field of view, was Coldlilocks.
Confer got several good shots of Coldilocks, included among them, this one that looks like the polar bear waving a cheery if nonchalant hello.
He was shooting through glass, and found himself up against the eight-ball with most of his shots as the end results were either blurred by the glass or obscured in underwater bubbles.
But I think we can all agree that he definitely pulled off a great shot.
