Thanks to this partnership between Pixel and Panasonic Shikoku Electronics, the first ophthalmic eyewear is touted to the take the consumer electronics sector by storm.

PixelOptics has designed its electronic eyewear to involve all conventional channels of distribution: lens manufacturers, frame companies, wholesale optical labs, and eye care professionals. No special equipment will be required and current eye examination practices will not be affected. The electronic eyeglasses are expected to launch by the second half of 2010.
